Les Paul dies

Meh.
Les Paul, inventor of multi-track recording, pioneer of the electric guitar (the Gibson “Les Paul” guitar is named after him) died today at the age of 94.
I saw him play at a small dinner theater named Fat Tuesday’s in New York City in 1991, while there recording the Bomb album Hate Fed Love for Warner Brothers. Said hi to him, told him he was an inspiration, thanked him for his contributions to recording technology. He was really nice. Played a great set too, while my friend Deb and I ate a yummy steak dinner. We were about 8 feet from where he and the band were playing. It was pretty amazing.
