Take the NRA intro and intermediate pistol classes. Will keep you from getting it grabbed from you if you ever have to use it!

And consider getting something a little bigger for carry, at least 9mm.
But 22 is great for cheap practice. And it’s certainly better than no gun for carry. Doesn’t have a lot of stopping power, but could, if the shots (plural) are well placed.

Right on, right on. I think I will eventually get a Glock 19, after I work my way up, but who knows? My mind may change a thousand times before I buy it. I decided on about 8 different guns before I finally bought the S&W.
By the way, it’s pretty neat to see how your political views have changed since I read $30 film school. Love the show, and look forward to hearing more!

Loved the cast the Quiz was interesting and enjoyed your answers and so happy for DJ and her new gun nothing quite like that new gun smell when its all yours…9mm is what I used to go shoot with my mom been awhile been mostly shooting rifles lately with friends who got new ones…their glock jammed when we last went shooting so I did’nt get a turn…although my grouping is good shoulda been a sniper love the kick and the smell of gunpowder. The music is awesome got it from Itunes..love it my 4 year old likes to bang to it a bit…my 15 year old says its cool which is huge for a teenager to admit anything…Hope you to are well and remember to dance in the rain

Haven’t gotten a chance to listen yet, probably will tonight at work. Just wanted to say, that a .22 may be, IMHO at least, one of the BEST carry weapons there are, for certain individuals at least. Small, lightweight, not cumbersome to carry, and if anyone thinks that a single head shot from a .22 won’t stop a perpetrator, I’d be happy to show you a few demonstrations to the contrary. Ruger Mk I’s and II’s, as well as the Colt Woodsman and Browning Buckmark are fabled to be the weapons of choice for various assassins the world over. A .22 has a small, high velocity bullet, and easily makes up in penetration what it lacks in stopping power. I’ve personally witnessed much larger animals than human beings killed instantly with a single head shot from a .22, but as was mentioned, shot placement is ABSOLUTELY critical. A torso shot isn’t going to have nearly as dramatic of an effect as it would with a 9mm or especially a .45., and in many cases would probably serve more to piss someone off than stop them, LOL. If a .22 is what you have, learn to shoot it, shoot it a lot, and make sure you can shoot it well. Should the need ever arise (and we all hope it never will), it will serve you admirably so long as you do your part.
