Hey, saw this via the pingback you contacted me with. I know Micheal via TSP, so I was excited to hear this podcast.
Greg, let me just say: You’ve got a great thing going here.
I think every rational human who lives in California ought to GOOCA. There is just so much freedom out there, and so much space. You don’t realize it when you’re in California, though.
Living here (in California) is somewhat comparable (in a roundabout way) to living with an abusive spouse. At some point, people who live here start going, “it’s going to be like this everywhere,” and “but California NEEDS me”, and “I have nowhere else to go,” and then they just sort of give up and contribute to the abuse by paying for it. It’s sad, and it’s sick.
We’re getting close to be able to completely retire in another state, and I’m not even 30 years old yet. I’m very happy about that.
Anyway, thanks for a great podcast.

Thanks Tiffany!
I like the “California is like an abusive spouse.”
I think people who say “it’s going to be like this everywhere,” and “but California NEEDS me”, and “I have nowhere else to go,” are in a codependent relationship with that abusive spouse!
